Our 2024 work programme
ANSES's new work programme puts into perspective the principal activities of the Agency for 2024, in light of strategic orientations in our five main fields of action: food, animal health & welfare, environmental health, plant health and occupational health. Having been the topic of discussions with the International Science Council and ANSES’s Scientific Board, it will ensure the continuation and development of ANSES's activities, in support of public action.
To provide new knowledge and scientific benchmarks to take action against risks, and especially with regard to emerging or as yet uncertain threats, ANSES is committed to pursuing its research, expert assessment and vigilance missions with the same level of excellence, independence and openness.
In 2024, ANSES will continue to widen the scope of its actions and expertise in order to take an increasingly global approach to health risks, in keeping with the “One Health” perspective. To take better account of climate disruption and its consequences, it has also embarked on a cross-disciplinary review to include these issues more fully in all its scientific activities.
This 2024 work programme takes up and sets out for the first time the guidelines established in the 2023-2027 Goals and performance contract (COP) signed in mid-2023 between the Agency and its supervisory ministries. In addition to reinforcing the "One Health" approach, it aims to promote scientific excellence and the Agency's active involvement at European and international level, in a global context marked by health crises and transformations in both society and the environment.
